Bills signed by Governor Brad Henry in May 2009 that became effective November 1, 2009.
SB 0810 – Creates the Oklahoma Sleep Diagnostic Testing Regulation Act – requires that sleep diagnostic tests be ordered by a physician and conducted in or under the direction of personnel of a sleeep diagnostic testing facility that meets certain standards. Bill prohibits any facility or individual from conducting sleep diagnostic testing without having first complied with the act. Bill designates the State Health Dept as offricial agency for regulator activities related to sleep diagnostic testing centers.

SB 1181 - Amends the Oklahoma Pharmacy Act; makes it unlawful for an assistant pharmacist to certify certain prescriptions; deletes certain requirements for the OK Board of Examiners in optometry; deletes authorization for assistant pharmacists to manage or control a pharmacy. HB 1569 – Requires that any person using the term “doctor” should designate the authority of his/her title and further defines nine mail authorities under which a person can be registered as a doctor. To access the full bill, click here:  HB 1569 Effective November 1, 2009.
